Uganda is a country located in eastern Africa, straddling the equator, bordering Kenya to the east, Tanzania and Rwanda to the south, Congo (Kinshasa) to the west, and South Sudan to the north. It has a total area of 241,550 square kilometers. Most of the whole territory is located in the East African plateau, with many lakes, with an average elevation of 1,000 to 1,200 meters, and is known as the "Plateau Water Village". Uganda is one of the least developed countries in the world, with a weak industrial foundation, mainly agriculture. In 2010, it established the East African Community with Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi and Rwanda, established a unified economic market, and will work hard in merging into a unified federal state-the East African Federation in 2015.
